All things digital signage.

If You Give A Company A Digital Signage System

mouse.jpegThere is a picture book written by Laura Numeroff and illustrated by Felicia Bond called "If You Give A Mouse A Cookie."  This story runs through the events of a mouse, if given a cookie, then he will want milk, which leads him to a whole slew of things he will need to accomplish before leading back to asking for a cookie again.

This cute story demonstrates a great cause and effect relationship.

Companies that purchase digital signage, often follow this same circular story and cause and effectqsr_5.jpg relationship.  If the story were written about digital signage, it might look a little something like this:

If you give a company a digital signage system

they'll probably ask for content management software

When it's installed, they will probably ask for training.

Then they will want to try their hand at creating content.  They may even create more content than they need.

When they are done, they will probably need a break.  You will have to fix up a break room with a snack machine and a coffee.

They will go in, make themselves comfortable, and catch up on their industry news.  Then they will probably realize that they need to update their content again.

So they will update content and then they have to schedule and implement again.

When they enter the software they realize they forgot how to use it because it's been awhile.

They get confused.

When they get confused they ask for more training. They receive their training again and then back to implement content.  But then they run out of time.

And chances are if you run out of time, you find yourself just a company with a digital signage system

and you need help.

This is the type of scenario we are seeing more often than not.  Well, guess what?  We can help.

How Can We Help?

engagment elements.jpgThere are multiple reasons that you aren't getting the most out of your digital signage system.  We are going to address the top three main reasons that this is happening.

Not trained on software:  When you choose a digital signage system, you have chosen a software that houses and runs your content, your content management system (CMS).  The CMS is there to get the right content to the right screen at the right time.

Most software options offer training so that you completely understand the process and how to use their particular software, and typically it is free.  You need this training so that you know how to implement your content and get the most out of your digital signage system.

If you do not receive training, or do not get an opportunity to become an expert in the CMS, it can be easily forgettable.  Even if you do receive this training, if you aren't updating as frequently as you thought, if can be easily forgettable.  This leads us to the next reason.

Not enough time in software:  If you are scheduling and implementing content less frequently than you thought, or not at all, then you are just not in the software enough to remember it.  Most content management systems are housed "in the cloud" and are updated often.  So if you are not in the software enough, the updates can throw you for a loop too.

Your daily or weekly duties may be pulling you from the digital signage software capable of making your business thrive.  These duties take you away from the offered trainings and the time available to pursue the software that allows you to post your new and updated playlists.  This becomes not just enough time in the software, but flat out just not enough time.

Not enough time:  The number one reason that companies are underutilizing their digital qsr_2.jpgsignage systems is because they just don't have time.  Content is one thing, but arranging and implementing, and scheduling and showcasing that content can be a hassle when you have twenty other items on your "to-do" list.

In the U.S., 85.8 percent of males and 66.5 percent of females work more than 40 hours per week. If we are already overworked, where is the time for content scheduling?

If you have the content, we can implement for you.  Using an integrator, such as Coffman Media, allows your content to stay fresh and provides you with real time updates, all while you handle your own to-do lists.
